Der Physikalische Verein, Robert-Mayer-Straße 2-4 in Frankfurt, lädt ein zu einem Vortrag von Nobelpreisträger Theodor Hänsch am Mittwoch, 15. 2., 19.30 Uhr. Hänsch forscht auf dem Gebiet der Präzisions-Spektroskopie. Damit lassen sich Uhrwerke für neuartige optische Atomuhren von nie gekannter Genauigkeit konstruieren. Damit eröffnen sich faszinierende Möglichkeiten für fundamentale Experimente der Physik, beispielsweise neue Tests der Einsteinschen Relativitätstheorie. Für seine bahnbrechenden Arbeiten erhielt Theodor Hänsch im Jahre 2005 den Nobelpreis für Physik. Seit 2005 ist er auch Ehrenmitglied des Physikalischen Vereins.
