Off-Grid power supply event takes place for the second time and creates a platform for international experts
Off-Grid Experts Workshop 2012 in Memmingen - second take!
Together with their co-organisers Steca Elektronik GmbH and GWE Pumpenboese, as well as 22 exhibitors, Phaesun invited to this event which is unique in the solar trade. The Off-Grid Experts Workshop exclusively concentrates on the Off-Grid power supply with renewable energies.
More than 200 guests from the Off-Grid solar trade from Europe, Africa, Central America and the Middle East accepted the company's invitation to the festival hall in Memmingen.
"Independent power supply" was the motto under which Phaesun offered an extensive two days' workshop programme including expert lectures of representatives of international solar enterprises and research institutes. The lectures were organised according to various fields of application such as rural electrification, solar water pumping systems, industrial and leisure time applications. Moreover, new products and developments of the international solar trade were introduced.
Christoph Harms, board member of GWE group reports: "Solar energy offers countless opportunities for Off-Grid power supply, be it in the rural regions of Africa, or when you are on a camping holiday. As a water pump system supplier, we notice an increasing demand for solar solutions. With this event, Phaesun offers the ideal framework for discussions about the subjects of Off-Grid power supply and therefore creates a unique platform for the Off-Grid area."
In addition to the lecture programme, visitors could also explore Off-Grid territory and inform themselves about the enterprises and product innovations at fair booths of 22 exhibitors. Topical subjects and trends were lively discussed and an active international exchange was initiated.
Independence for all!
With his lecture entitled "Independence at Work", Niels Pflaeging, guest of honour and author and founder of BetaCodex Network, emphasised the ground-breaking relevance of independence not only from the power supply related point of view, but also in terms of business organisation where independence is one of the most important Phaesun principles.
A solar "art and craft workshop" and an electrical motocross race on Friday evening completed the event.
Christoph Kocsis, Key Account Manager for PV Off-Grid systems with Steca Elektronik GmbH explains: "As exhibitors, we were already convinced by the quality of the event last year, so we decided to support this workshop as event partners this year. So we are now able to introduce our knowhow in Off-Grid power supply purposefully to an expert audience and initiate an exchange of ideas."
