Recognized as an outstanding innovation: the Peri Up Shoring Tower MDS

Ergonomic working conditions as the core of innovative safety

Weißenhorn, (PresseBox) - At the Préventica in Lyon - a trade fair which focuses on all aspects relating to occupational safety - a jury awarded the Peri Up Shoring Tower MDS the innovation prize in the category "Working at Heights". The shoring tower is characterized by the fact that a totally safe erection procedure is fully integrated throughout.

The "Préventica takes place once a year in France - a combination of trade fair and congress. The event addresses the topics of occupational health and safety with the focus always on risk prevention. A wide range of presentations and numerous exhibitors also deal with the optimization of processes. During the event, innovation prizes were awarded for the latest developments in various categories. In the category "Working at Heights", the jury selected the Peri Up Shoring Tower MDS as the winner.

Shoring Tower MDS - the tower with system-integrated safety

Peri presented the Shoring Tower MDS for the first time at the Intermat 2012 in France which was followed by the international launch at bauma 2013 in Munich. The shoring tower's distinguishing feature is that scaffolders are secured against falling in all situations without requiring any additional equipment.

Shoring towers currently available on the market only partially meet the requirements with regard to optimal safe assembly. The Shoring Tower MDS with its concept of mandatory working levels closes this gap: all levels of the shoring tower are automatically installed with protection provided by the guardrail in advance, and likewise during dismantling. In this way, the safety of the users is guaranteed during all mounting situations. The steel decks lock automatically in place after being inserted, and removal from below is just not possible. The decking is an integral part and the central element in the Peri Up Rosett Flex Shoring Tower MDS. It accelerates the handling whilst simultaneously ensuring a high level of safety.

In addition to the standard components of the proven Peri Up scaffolding, the decking is the only newly developed part used for the assembly of the Shoring Tower MDS. This also makes the solution extremely economical.

PERI - safety is always a priority

The safety aspect runs like a common thread through the Peri formwork and scaffolding programme. Safety is integrated in the systems as much as possible or, alternatively, implemented by means of easy to mount accessories. This results in a minimized risk of accidents and smooth-running work processes.

Many of the formwork and scaffolding systems developed follow this principle of system-integrated safety in order to minimize accident risks. The frame scaffolding for facades, for example, can be erected without requiring any personal protection equipment thanks to the guardrail mounted in advance.

And the Gridflex slab formwork has already received multiple awards as an innovative and particularly safe system. It can be completely installed with a minimum number of system components from the floor below. With this principle, the shortest shuttering times can be achieved with maximum safety.
