Paul-Ehrlich-Institut Partner im neuen Deutschen Zentrum für Infektionsforschung

Das Paul-Ehrlich-Institut wird gemeinsam mit der Universität Gießen, der Universität Marburg und der Fachhochschule Gießen-Friedberg einen der sieben Partnerstandorte des Deutschen Zentrums für Infektionsforschung (DZIF) bilden. Das DZIF ist eines der neuen Zentren für Gesundheitsforschung, deren Ziel es ist, Spitzenforschung in Deutschland zu bündeln und die Schnittstelle zwischen präklinischer Forschung und klinischer Entwicklung zu stärken. So sollen neue Forschungsergebnisse schneller in der klinischen Praxis und damit beim Patienten ankommen. Die Erforschung neuer "Impfstoffplattformen" und regulatorische Forschung stehen im Mittelpunkt der Forschungsaktivitäten, die das Paul-Ehrlich-Institut hierzu verfolgt.
