The ITMA 2011 heralds a new production era

(PresseBox) ( Arbon, )
The textile world is eagerly waiting for the ITMA in Barcelona. What innovations are to be expected and how can mounting energy costs be brought under control? Oerlikon Saurer will be introducing future-oriented solutions and showing customers unprecedented production horizons. The product line Allma will introduce the Allma TC2, the product line Volkmann the new Volkmann CT and the Heat-SET module. The product line Saurer will provide new incentives in the embroidery market with the Epoca 6 pro. Visitors can expect all this and much more on the Oerlikon Textile stand D 131 in hall 2.

The new Volkmann CT sets new standards in staple fiber twisting

Traditionally, the product line Volkmann aims to reach ever higher performance and quality goals. Volkmann offer customers the entire production spectrum based on a platform which is viable for the future. The new eco-drive concept and the new eco-spindle perfectly complement the existing e-save spindle family, and customers save up to 40% in energy costs even for very fine yarn counts. Optimal yarn and package evenness are achieved thanks to a newly designed winding-on geometry and the lengthened winding triangle. Process handling has a new efficiency dimension and optionally includes central setting possibilities, recipe administration, quality monitoring, length measuring and further parameters. Really easy operating and absolute safety are integrated. With its modular construction, the Volkmann CT covers all raw material and yarn count sectors and with its first-class yarn and package quality offers the best pre-requisites for maximum added value, today and tomorrow.

Volkmann Heat-SET shortens the carpet yarn process

BCF carpet yarns are thermally heated after cabling in order to stabilize their shape, called thermo-fixing. Now Volkmann has integrated this additional processing step with a new procedure into a combined machine concept, thus cabling, thermo-fixing (heat setting) and winding in one process cycle. Customers benefit: no more intermediate storage and intermediate handling, processing costs are greatly reduced and an important contribution is made to cost-efficiency with faster fulfilment of contracts, shorter process cycles and increased plant efficiency.

Allma TC2 - for perfect technical yarns

The market for technical yarns is enjoying extensive growth and an ever-increasing range of uses. First-class yarn quality and production flexibility are required. The market leader Oerlikon Saurer, with its Allma Product Line, has perfected the manufacture of technical yarns and with the new Allma TC2 offers a two-for-one twisting machine with unique flexibility and productivity which completely fulfils the demands of the market. All imaginable materials in the count range 235 to 60,000 dtex can be processed, with production speeds of up to 450 m/min. New markets for creative products have opened up for customers thanks to the extended count range. Innovative processing technologies help to perfect the package quality further. With the Allma TC2, customers have a production system with which they can optimally fulfil the market requirements of the future.

The energy-saving miracle Allma CC4

The Allma CC4 is currently being introduced in the tire cord cabling market. Depending on the yarn count and the spindle type, the Allma CC4 brings energy savings of up to 50%. For manufacturers, these are revolutionary cost savings in production. First comments from customers are absolute proof of this. And the conferment of the "Tire Technology Award for Innovation and Excellence 2011" in the category "Tire Industry Supplier of the Year" during this year's Tire Technology Expo in Cologne, just serves to underline the future-oriented technology of the Allma CC4.

The Saurer Epoca 6 pro stands for perfection and high-performance productivity

After intensive development work, the new Epoca 6 pro was subjected to a series of thorough tests. For over a year now, the first machines have been in use all over the world under industrial conditions. The results are very positive and are already being confirmed through follow-up orders.

The average production speed of the Epoca 6 pro is up to 30% higher while still remaining absolutely reliable and producing first-class embroidery quality. This is made possible by the innovative drive system, the unique setting possibilities and the perfect thread cut.

- The innovative drive system

The new drive system can be configured according to requirements and stands for powerful performance and precision. The efficient new individual drives for the needle, thread guide and shuttle cams as well as the direct drive of the fabric presser are ideally adapted to the creel movements. Together with the cam drives integrated in the machine column on the needle and shuttle side, extreme running smoothness and maximum speeds can be guaranteed.

- Top quality at the touch of a button

The completely new setting possibilities of the Epoca 6 pro enable unrivalled embroidery quality with greatly reduced changeover times. The electronic setting of the thread guide and the fabric presser, and the manual setting of the carriage width, are unique and set new standards in shuttle embroidery.

- Thread cut for limitless creativity

The innovative and fast thread cut, with the new individual regulation and assured thread clamping system, ensures minimal thread residues. Thanks to this, the most complex patterns with widely varying yarns can be cost-effectively produced.
