n.runs AG is a leading vendor-independent consulting company specializing in the areas IT Security and IT Infrastructure as well as in developing high-security software products. Today the company discloses its audited financial figures for 2007, which are being reported in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB).
In fiscal 2007, the company generated total revenues of EUR 5.48m (previous year: EUR 6.04m). EBITDA on the reporting date reached EUR -0.93m (previous year: EUR 1.62m) with net profit for the year of EUR -0.95m (previous year: EUR 1.45m). In fiscal 2007, profits were primarily impacted by software development costs of EUR 0.82m (previous year: EUR 0.20m). When adjusted for these expenses, net profit in 2007 amounted to EUR -0.13m (previous year adjustment for one-off expenses: EUR 0.49m). In addition to that, the delayed launch of the company's security software aps-AV® as well as the postponement of a high volume of project work by a large client had a negative impact both on revenue and profit plans. Considering these effects, as well as the successfully completed restructuring measures to focus on growth sectors in the IT market, fiscal 2007 can altogether be described as satisfactory.
On the reporting date of the annual report 2007 n.runs AG had shareholders' equity amounting to EUR 0.32m, constituting an equity ratio of 23% (EUR 1.36m total assets).
The company held cash and cash equivalents of EUR 0.17 million as of the reporting date. The number of regular clients increased to 102 (+27.5% year-on-year). The average volume per project increased by 56.2% to around EUR 75.000. In total, the number of employees as of December 31, 2007, increased to 49 (previous year: 37 employees).
Fiscal 2008 is developing positively. Incoming orders, including order backlog, in the consulting business reached EUR 3.5m in Q1 2008 and gained more momentum with effective May 31, 2008, with the figure rising to EUR 6.2m. The IT.Applications unit gained its first reference customer for high-security solutions from the anti-virus sector(aps-AV®) by the winning of Thales Defence in June 2008. Further licensing deals are expected for the coming year.
"Fiscal 2007 was another exciting year. On top of completing our high-security solution(aps-AV®) for large-scale companies, government related organizations as well as companies with high security demands, we have successfully focused the company on growth sectors in the IT market. Our product solution aps-AV®, which has now been sold to the first customer, Thales Defence, has huge potential. Experts see the market potential of our software solution over the next five years clearly in the region of a double-digit million figure, and that's taking only the German market into account.
Thanks to our own highly-scalable products and our strong consulting business in IT infrastructure services we are excellently positioned to make 2008 our best year in company history," explains Andreas Bruns, CEO of n.runs AG.
