(PresseBox) ( Zurich, Switzerland, )
Nobel Biocare has received a positive ruling in the U.S. Litigation with Materialise Dental in connection with the patent relating to NobelGuide. The Federal District Court in Santa Ana, California, has ruled that Nobel Biocare does not infringe any claim of Materialise's '134 patent related to NobelGuide. The products at issue in the lawsuit were the NobelGuide software and surgical templates. Materialise had claimed that Nobel Biocare's products infringed their patent, but the court has now ruled that the NobelGuide products are not covered by the Materialise patent. This ruling can be appealed. The German litigation between the parties is ongoing and a decision regarding Materialise's respective German patent is expected within the coming month(s).
