Virtual Private Network as a Service (VPNaaS) is a Neutron extension that introduces the VPN functionality to the OpenStack networking. In order to protect applications and data that are only for internal use, it is common practice to use a private IP that cannot be routed from the Internet. However, in order to still be able to access it via the Internet, one can connect two private IP address ranges via VPN.

With VPNaaS a customer can set up a secure tunnel to his services hosted in the NETWAYS Cloud as if it were hosted on-premise. The VPNaaS feature is especially interesting for customers, who easily want to set up encrypted connections to their services from anywhere and still secure their traffic from prying eyes. VPNaaS can easily be started via the OpenStack interface of the NETWAYS cloud or via API.

NETWAYS is proud to offer this low cost, simple and fast provisioning service for reliable and secure networking processes.

With NETWAYS Cloud based on OpenStack NETWAYS concentrates on providing customers with an Infrastructure as a Service, that is simple, scalable, and managed to individual needs. A large pool of computing, storage and networking resources can be used to built exactly the environment the customer wishes.

The NETWAYS Cloud combines world-class service with the latest technology, hosted in two ISO-certified, replicated and distributed data centers in Germany.
