Partnership Provides Superior Business Intelligence Capabilities

Netezza (NYSE Arca: NZ), the global data warehouse appliance market leader, today announced that it has entered into a new technology partnership with Conchango, an independent UK-based consultancy that delivers business, interactive media and technical solutions.

With vast experience in delivering data warehouse projects Conchango provides its clients with an in-depth knowledge of the available technology offerings, combined with a consultancy approach that ensures each solution is tailor-made to meet clients' information needs. The move into this technology partnership with Netezza was sparked by increasing demand among Conchango's client base for a business intelligence solution to meet the specific needs of the retail market.

Chris Saul, Director at Conchango explains: "We work closely with over 20 of the UK's leading retail brands. We understand the benefits retailers can receive by faster processing and data analysis speeds delivered by solutions such as the Netezza Performance Server® (NPS®) appliance. Conchango has retail tools covering important areas of retailers' businesses for buyers, merchandisers, supply chain and logistics."

Conchango has become a member of the Netezza Developer Network with a specific remit to develop a retail-focused solution. The product, Linear DM, will ultimately enable organisations to load data, in its raw state, into the data warehouse and run queries instantly - saving significant time and resources that would otherwise have been dedicated to first cleaning the data. The programme has been written specifically to suit the NPS system.

Dave Kloc, Vice President, European Operations for Netezza added, "This technology partnership is a fantastic example of how two organisations can combine forces to change the face of the technology landscape. Conchango, supported by Netezza, is taking business intelligence to the next level and we are very motivated by what they expect to achieve."

Designed specifically for high-performance, terascale analytics, the NPS system architecturally integrates a relational database, server and storage into a single compact and power-efficient unit. The system's advantage comes from its patented Intelligent Query Streaming(tm) design. Netezza has placed processing power next to the data, so analysis occurs at the source at streaming speeds, delivering an unprecedented 10-100 times the performance of traditional systems at a fraction of the cost. Analyses that took days now take just seconds. This means a dramatic increase in productivity across the enterprise and faster time to value for business initiatives. Netezza appliances are changing the way organizations leverage information, creating a powerful analytic foundation for a new generation of business analytics that improve strategic decision-making and drive results.
