New Head of Local Public Transport Sales in Germany

Salzgitter, (PresseBox) - On January 1st 2008 Robert Katzer (41) will take over as the new Head of Local Public Transport Key Accounts at MAN Truck & Bus Deutschland GmbH (MTBD) and thus succeed Jens Ludwigkeit who has left this position in mutual agreement with the company. Katzer started his career as a bus salesman at NEOPLAN in Stuttgart in 1996 and is a sales professional through and through. In the last four years he was active as the Head of Regional Sales for South East Europe at NEOMAN Bus GmbH in Salzgitter.

At the prospect of his new function the trained salesman says: "I am looking forward to the new task of being active on the local public transport market with two strong brands. With the technological competence of MAN and the design leadership of NEOPLAN, both of the brands have played a strong role in the success of our company on the domestic market in Germany. I consider it to be a major challenge for MAN and NEOPLAN to make local public transport in Germany even more attractive and to reduce the environmental impact with modern and environment friendly buses." In his new function Katzer will be reporting directly to the Managing Director Buses of MTBD, Hans-Joachim Pilz.

Katzer, who was born in Augsburg and until just recently lived in Munich, is married and has two children.
