Demonstrating its commitment to quality and customer service, NEC Electronics announced it is a recipient of a 2007 Visteon Important Partner award from Visteon Corporation (NYSE: VC). The annual award program recognizes suppliers that exemplify best-in-class performance and go above and beyond to meet Visteon's needs and expectations. Selection criteria focus on a supplier's performance in terms of quality, delivery, technology, launch and cost control.

"NEC Electronics has distinguished itself as an outstanding Visteon supplier, and its performance has been instrumental in helping Visteon deliver innovative, high-quality, cost-efficient products to vehicle manufacturers," said Patrick Bauer, Visteon senior director, material planning and logistics - indirect and central purchasing.

As a global company, cultivating collaborative relationships with its supplier partners is crucial to Visteon's success in delivering innovative and high-quality products to vehicle manufacturers around the world. Earning a Visteon Important Partner award demonstrates that NEC Electronics has performed "at an extremely high level," according to Visteon President and Chief Operating Officer, Donald J. Stebbins.
As a Visteon Important Partner award nominee, NEC Electronics underwent a thorough review of its performance and business contributions by a global cross-functional Visteon team, with input from manufacturing, product development, supplier quality, customer business and purchasing groups. NEC Electronics achieved concurrence from all functional groups and operating regions to demonstrate the high level of performance that Visteon promotes within its supply base.

"NEC Electronics is unwavering in its commitment to delivering the highest quality products and support to Visteon and the automotive market," said Jim Trent, vice president, multipurpose MCU and automotive strategic business units. "NEC Electronics is focused on achieving customer satisfaction and success through improved design and manufacturing quality. It is very rewarding to receive recognition from Visteon for our efforts."
