Napatech announces NEBS compliant adapters
Napatech is introducing two intelligent network adapters for 10G and 1G Ethernet networks. The NT20E-NEBS provides 2 x 10 GbE ports and is based on Napatech's NT20E product. The NT4E-NEBS provides 4 x 1 GbE ports and is based on Napatech's NT4E product. For both models, hardware design changes ensure that only passive cooling is provided without moving parts and that the network adapters can operate under extreme temperature conditions.
"NEBS is an important requirement from many carriers, but it is not always easy for system developers to meet requirements when using off-the-shelf systems", said Erik Norup, President, Napatech Inc. "With the introduction of our new NEBS compliant network adapters, which are tested in NEBS compliant servers, we can now offer a tested, reliable and certified NEBS platform. Telecom equipment manufacturers can exploit this platform to quickly and cost-effectively develop high performance deep packet capture and inspection systems that can meet the stringent requirements of carriers."

Napatech A/S (HQ)
Napatech is the leading OEM supplier of multi-port 10 GbE and 1 GbE intelligent adapters for real-time network analysis with over 80,000 Ethernet ports deployed. Napatech network adapters provide real-time packet capture and transmission with full line-rate throughput and zero packet loss no matter the packet size. Intelligent features enable off-load of data traffic processing and packet analysis normally performed in the CPU. This results in more processing power for the network monitoring, analysis, management, test, measurement, security or optimization application being supported. Napatech has sales, marketing and R&D offices in Mountain View (CA), Andover (MA), Washington D.C., Tokyo (Japan) and Copenhagen (Denmark).
