Myriad Group AG (SIX: MYRN), the company creating and connecting communities across mobile and TV, today announces that Pace (LSE: PIC), has selected Myriad's industry-leading Java(TM) technology for use in their RDK compliant set-top boxes.

The JVM is a key component of the Comcast Reference Design Kit (RDK), a pre-integrated software bundle for set-top boxes, multi-tuner video gateways and client devices that is rapidly being adopted as a global industry standard by TV platform operators worldwide. RDK enables operators and device vendors to quickly develop and deploy new solutions. Pace, the world's largest set-top box manufacturer*, uses RDK in a range of its products.

"Pace is a leading global developer of advanced technologies for service providers, and we are delighted to add them to our growing list of customers in the connected home space," said Ed Zylka, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Myriad's Device Solutions Division. "Our team will work with Pace to help deliver a high quality solution to Comcast and other cable TV providers in North America. This new customer relationship further expands our set-top market share, and demonstrates Myriad's continued leadership and commitment to the TV service provider market globally."

"Myriad's Java(TM) Virtual Machine will provide an important element in our software, providing a consistent and high-performance virtual machine to power our RDK products," said Bruce Gureck, Senior Vice President, Engineering for Pace. "We look forward to working closely with Myriad to include their software across this specific range of compliant devices."
