Myriad Group to Power Sunplus Technology's High Definition Home Entertainment Portfolio
Sunplus Technology to integrate Myriad Jbed CDCA, Browser V9 and Dalvik Turbo software into product portfolio for APAC region
Marking Myriad's continued growth in the home entertainment products arena, Sunplus will combine Myriad's Jbed CDCA software with their Blu-ray technology to offer one turnkey solution to customers in the first half of 2011. Myriad's Jbed CDCA is an industry-leading Java(TM) ME platform that enables consumer electronic device manufacturers to build, deploy and run Java applications seamlessly on any kind of communication device, delivering fast start-up and response times while keeping memory footprint and power consumption to a minimum.
"We are pleased to work with Myriad whose broad portfolio of market-proven software will play a direct role in contributing to our success, as we remain focused on continuing to deliver cutting-edge home entertainment product solutions for our customers," said Mr. Chou-Chye Huang, CEO, Sunplus Technology.
Sunplus has also chosen to leverage other key products from the Myriad portfolio including Myriad's Browser V9 and Myriad Dalvik Turbo solutions. The two companies will work together on integrating these technologies into the Sunplus product range.
''Our new arrangement with Sunplus continues to validate the significant market opportunity to deploy Myriad's Java-based clients into non-mobile device markets, to drive growth in our Device Solutions Division" said Simon Wilkinson, CEO, Myriad Group. "We are playing an integral part in supplying leading, high-performance technology needed to power growth in the APAC marketplace as well as further afield."
