Murata kündigt die analogen MEMS-Beschleunigungssensoren der Serie SCA720 an, die speziell für elektronisch gesteuerte Radaufhängungs-Systeme und Anti-Vibrations-Applikationen an Motoren konzipiert sind. Der Sensor misst lediglich 7,0 x 8,6 x 3,3 mm und wird aus einem Silizium-Einkristall hergestellt. Er ist dadurch mechanisch robust und weist bis zu 70.000g keine Deformationen auf. Die dreidimensionale Struktur des Beschleunigungssensors nutzt kapazitive Sensortechniken, die ihm eine extrem hohe Messempfindlichkeit und eine ausgezeichnete Offset-Stabilität verleihen. Die interne Dämpfung des MEMS-Sensorelements mithilfe einer Edelgasfüllung wirkt überdies wie ein mechanisches Tiefpassfilter, das Frequenzen über 115 Hz unterdrückt, für eine stabile Ausgangsamplitude sorgt und Rauschen ausfiltert.
