The Plus X Award is established as the world's largest technology, sport and lifestyle competition. This year marked the seventh presentation of the Plus X Award to the most innovative brands and products. The jury, with its 144 renowned trade journalists from 32 countries, who are neutral in terms of industry preference, and 40 professional partners, decides on who will receive this coveted award. More than 1,000 products were entered, however, only just over 270 entries from 13 different sectors were considered eligible by the jury. The Plus X Award seal of quality distinguishes exceptionally convincing features in the categories innovation, high quality, design, ease of use/functionality, ergonomics and ecology. On May 27th the winning brands and products were honored and announced for the first time in front of top decision makers from trade and industry as well as national and international members of the press.

In the "Design" category MINOX received the highly sought after Plus X Award seal of quality for the second time - on this occasion for its Digital Classic Camera MINOX DCC 5.1.
