Change in the management at Meyer Werft

Thomas Weigend is appointed as the new Managing Director of Meyer Werft. At present, he runs the sales and development activities (Sales & Design) of the three shipyards in Papenburg, Rostock and Turku as a member of the management board. Born in Swabia, he joined MEYER WERFT as a shipbuilding engineer in 1999.

Lambert Kruse, Managing Director of MEYER WERFT GmbH & Co. KG up to now, will step back for health reason. In future, he will be responsible for and further develop the activities of the affiliated enterprises. Mr. Kruse joined the top management of MEYER WERFT in the summer of 2004 after his activities as a member of the board for the Project Management, Production and Design Departments and before that as Head of the Shipbuilding Department. The shipyards have developed tremendously. Lambert Kruse, who has been working at the shipyard since 1988, has played a major role in the development of the shipyards over the past years.

Thus, the management of MEYER WERFT GmbH & Co. KG now comprises Mr Bernard Meyer, Dr. Jan Meyer, Mr Tim Meyer and Mr Thomas Weigend.

This change will be implemented in the course of the coming weeks.
