Some 50 exhibitors have now revealed details about their displays at InnoTrans 2008. With the start of the fair only three months away they are using the Innovation Report, published by the International Trade Fair for Transport Technology, to reveal the innovations that they will be presenting in Berlin from 23 to 26 September. The Innovation Report can be found on the InnoTrans website at www.innotrans.com under Exhibitor Info and Press. This preview will be constantly updated between now and the start of the fair.

InnoTrans is providing this concentrated overview for the fifth time. The Innovation Report is published with the aim of presenting new developments and technology in all the various sections of the fair - Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Interiors, Public Transport and Tunnel Construction. At the present time exhibitors at InnoTrans have presented 46 reports and a total of 56 pictures online. They will be joined shortly by more companies, which will be posting details about their exhibits at InnoTrans on the German and English websites.

The product highlights featured in the Innovation Report 2008 come from many diverse areas. They include the AGV high speed train from Alstom, a data registration and processing system known as MARP-D from AVP-Technology, the TALENT 2 train for local and regional services from Bombardier, the TMK 2200 tram from the CROTRAM consortium, and a flame-retardant material, BECKER incendur , which has been produced by Fritz Becker KG. Other innovative developments include the modular time centre "Radio Timing® 4000" from GORGY TIMING, the Talgo 250 high speed train from Patentes Talgo, the Gravita 10 BB locomotive with a centre-mounted cab from Voith Turbo, as well as hybrid technology for local transport services from Vossloh Kiepe which is now ready to go into production, and a water mist system for combating fires from WAGNER Bayern.

Once again many exhibitors are keen for their details to be included in the Innovation Report, with many more enquiries coming from abroad. Among the foreign companies now included in the report are APT - Track Products and Measurement Devices from Belgium and AVP-Technology from Russia, the Croatian company KON AR-ELEKTROINDUSTRIJA, Nanjing Kangni New Technology of Mechantronic (China), Nordlift from Finland and the Swedish manufacturer Westermo Teleindustri.

The InnoTrans Innovation Report is intended primarily for the media, but is also being used increasingly by exhibitors and trade visitors in preparing for the fair and evaluating the event afterwards.

The final version of the Innovation Report also provides a wide-ranging overview of the relevant developments in the industry. The 2008 edition is expected to include well over 100 individual reports and the same number of photographs.
