M.A.X. Automation AG plans IPO for environmental technology subsidiary Vecoplan
IPO proceeds intended to further drive Vecoplan's international growth
Vecoplan is a leading global producer and distributor of specialized equipment and boasts strong earnings. The company offers shredding, separation, and recycling equipment as well as waste and material storage systems. Vecoplan has subsidiaries in the US and France, and offices in the UK and Austria. The company has more than 350 employees all over the world. In fiscal 2006, Vecoplan generated total sales of EUR 86.4 million. In 2007, it expects to achieve a substantial increase in sales.
Most of the IPO proceeds will stay inside Vecoplan and help finance its strong organic growth and potential acquisitions. After the IPO, M.A.X. Automation will keep its controlling stake in Vecoplan. The IPO would have a substantially positive effect on M.A.X. Automation's assets, finances and earnings. The Management Board therefore expects the issue to give the company's investment portfolio a significant boost. The IPO’s impact on earnings and liquidity inflow will depend on the IPO strategy still to be defined and on the development of the capital markets.
Bernd Priske, member of M.A.X. Automation AG's Management Board:
"Over the past few years, Vecoplan has performed exceptionally well and developed into the gem of M.A.X. Automation's investment portfolio. The planned IPO is now designed to drive Vecoplan's international growth, accelerate the expansion of the business base and fully achieve the company's growth potential. We are convinced that M.A.X. Automation and its shareholders will also benefit from the move."
