More than 50 Printing Units for Russia

Printing companys want value-added presses from manroland

Offenbach / Main, (PresseBox) - Among the most important challenges facing the printing sector in Russia is indubitably the tough competition for customers. Exciting times are dawning for the country's print enterprises: specialization is the keyword. From Moscow and Southern Russia all the way to Siberia, printers are upgrading their capabilities with presses from manroland.

By half-way through drupa more than 50 printing and coating units had already been sold to Russia. The Attikus printing company in Twer', for instance, is investing in 17 new printing units for medium and large formats. The ROLAND presses will be housed in a new building, and used mainly for running publishing products. Back in 1997, the Alpha-Design print house in Moscow had already purchased the first ROLAND 300 in Russia. One decade later, the firm has ordered a ten-color ROLAND 500 with reversing and coating unit, to be used for enhanced-efficiency commercial production. Russian print shops have ordered sheetfed offset presses from Offenbach, to meet the rising production demand from the Russian market. The trend towards value-added production is clearly discernible, and manroland's Value Added Printing strategy is responsively geared to it: the goal is to produce top-quality products efficiently.
