Mehrkanalige hitzebeständige Sensortelemetrieverstärker werden kundenspezifisch auf engstem Bauraum integriert

Spaichingen, (PresseBox) - Whether on the test bench or on the road – the high power density of modern electric drives for hybrid and pure electric vehicles places maximum demands on temperature measurements in the rotor. It is used for the precise and reliable detection of the engine’s temperature profile in all operating situations. Based on these data, developers and designers can ensure that no critical temperatures are reached in any driving conditions.

Demanding installation environments

The use of temperature measuring technology in the “heart” of the electric motor adds factors which place highest demands on the measuring and transmission technology: high temperatures, high speeds, strong electromagnetic influences and last but not least a very restricted space. This is where the strengths of MANNER sensor telemetry take full effect: temperature resistance up to 185 °C, high electromagnetic robustness, oil resistance and compact design.

From starting and accelerating to mountain driving – temperature control is critical for operational safety in the subsequent series production. Modern electric drives are based on rare-earth magnets which are characterized by permanent magnetization. This magnetization must at no point be put at risk by exceeding the Curie point. The MANNER detection unit and telemetry modules measure reliably and precisely within 1 ° C degree of accuracy under the toughest conditions.

Robust data acquisition

Using MANNER technologies for temperature measurements in electric drives gives you the choice between thermocouple elements and a Pt100 temperature sensor. Very small access holes allow the use of a mere 0.5 mm thick, flexible sheath thermocouple element through a precisely eroded access path. Through this hole the thermocouple element is inserted and glued to the desired measurement point inside the drive.

Reliable data transmissions

The measurement signals of the thermocouple element are recorded and transmitted contact-free to the stationary unit. The measured data can be passed to the data acquisition system as a classic analogue signal with 0 ... ± 10 V or as a digital signal via the CAN interface. All MANNER telemetry modules are temperature resistant up to 185 °C.

Compact customized housing geometries

The tighter the space that is available for the application, the more important is the exact and space-saving design of the telemetry housing. The MANNER miniature telemetry modules, technologies and systems allow the modular integration of telemetries into rotors of any geometry. To ensure that the housing can be adapted as best as possible for any rotor and any installation situation, MANNER can design each housing to application-specific requirements.

Experienced engineering team

Miniaturized, modular components offer the MANNER engineering team great design freedom with regard to the form factor of the sensor signal amplifier for the

integration of the amplifier housing at its installation location in the rotor. Typical shapes include ring or bullet-shaped housings.

MANNER’s unique combination of benefits

Maximum robustness for high temperatures and speeds. Optimum electromagnetic immunity. Experienced engineering team. This unique combination of benefits provide MANNER technologies with leadership qualities in industrial maturity. Our maintenance-free products with an unlimited service life reliably provide developers and designers with precise measurement values.

For over 25 years MANNER Sensor Telemetry has been dealing with the contactless transmission of sensor signal data from suspension units and shafts. Our basic principle is: “We accept challenges that others reject. Finding solutions to seemingly intractable problems – that is what we do best!”
