(PresseBox) (München, ) MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG has received two major orders from European capitals with a combined order value of over € 140 million. The Lion s City DD won the renowned iF Award for its exceptional design in 2006.

Six double-deckers were also sold for the first time to the city of Lausanne in Switzerland. In 2007 twenty- two NEOPLAN Centroliner GL articulated buses with a regulated CRTec® particulate filter had already been delivered here.

The French capital Paris has also opted for innovative MAN city buses.
MAN Camion & Bus France has won its biggest order to date on the French market; it is worth approximately € 60 million. The Paris transport authority (RATP) has ordered 186 of the modern low-floor MAN Lion s City articulated buses. Some of these vehicles will be put into service on the prestigious route from the Paris airport Charles de Gaulle to the Paris opera.
In 2007 fifteen new Lion s City G buses had already been delivered.
There are fitted with a translucent concertina section from the supplier ContiTech, which now also provides more light in the interior of all the new buses and hence makes for a pleasant atmosphere.
