Maag Automatik Plastics Machinery honors its Chinese agent

Grossostheim, Germany, (PresseBox) - In a country once considered challenging to do business in, Automatik Plastics Machinery (a Dover Corp. member) has been relying on a fruitful partnership spanning no less than 2 decades. The German manufacturer has acknowledged the anniversary with a commemorative award granted to RSSMC in recognition of a relationship that has stood the test of time, and keeps growing.

RSSMC has been the official agent of Automatik in China for the last 20 years. Conveniently located on the outskirts of Shanghai, and founded further to a partnership between Rieter and CTMTC in 1993, the company was appointed as Automatik service & maintenance centre in May 1994, with a grinding center following late that same year.

With RSSMC subsequently being awarded the coveted "Trusted Enterprise" status by Shanghai Customs Office in 1996, it became easier to import the necessary parts and perform repairs under warranty and exempt of duty up until 2012.

RSSMC is akin to a full service agency for Automatik with after sales services including not only installation and field service but also spare parts sales and rotors resharpening.

The shop floor space has regularly grown in size over the years from 104 square meters to some 690 square meters to accommodate the four resharpening machines that have joined the original one in the meantime, with more than 12'000 rotor resharpenings so far.

As a token of the anniversary, Thomas Willemsen granted an award to RSSMC during the recent ChinaPlas exhibition commemorating 20 years of business between the two companies.
