London School of Marketing releases its latest whitepaper on the purpose of the organisation

(PresseBox) (London, England, )
London School of Marketing, a leading institution offering accredited marketing and business qualifications in the heart of London, has published its latest whitepaper titled The Purpose of the Organisation, authored by its Director of Academic and Quality Compliance, Dr. George Panagiotou.

"Since the early days of humanity, people have quickly learnt that collective strength delivers far better results than individual effort," Dr. Panagiotou writes. "This is what organisations are; the pooling of human and non-human resources combined with knowledge and expertise to achieve a set of objectives."

Within the free downloadable whitepaper, Dr. Panagiotou identifies the roles, responsibilities, challenges and opportunities facing modern-day organisations by delving into their historical context. It further addresses the potential barriers to effective strategy development and implementation, while identifying ways of overcoming organisational challenges. Key areas covered include the framework of the organisation, motivational theories, different organisational orientations, stakeholder groups, corporate social responsibility and shareholder value.

"Managing a business is not just about managing activities but also about managing people. In the end, it is people who create activities and it is, therefore, people who need to be managed effectively to carry out these activities," Dr. Panagiotou found. "An understanding of what motivates individuals enables managers to create better working relationships to ensure organisational effectiveness."

This document, over twenty pages in length, is part of a series of whitepapers launched monthly by the London School of Marketing.
