4A, 4MHz Synchronous Step-Down Regulator Now Offered in Military Plastic, Temperature Range

(PresseBox) (Milpitas, California, ) Linear Technology announces the Military Plastic grade (MP-grade) version of the LTC3414. The LTC3414 is a high efficiency, 4MHz synchronous buck regulator using a constant frequency, current mode architecture. It can deliver up to 4A of continuous output current at voltages as low as 0.8V from a thermally enhanced TSSOP-20 package. It operates from an input voltage of 2.25V to 5.5V, making it ideal for both single cell Li-Ion, or NiMH applications, as well as more general purpose fixed rail systems. The MP-grade version operates over a -55 C to 125 C operating junction temperature range and is guaranteed and tested across the full temperature range. The feedback voltage specification is slightly derated (±0.5%), but the remainder of the electrical specifications are identical to the E and I grades. They are ideal for military and aerospace applications which are subjected to extreme ambient temperatures.

The LTC3414MPFE is available in a TSSOP-20E package.
