Linde Awarded Silver Class Distinction in The Sustainability Yearbook 2020(PresseBox) (Guildford, UK, )
The results in the yearbook are based on the 2019 Corporate Sustainability Assessment which evaluated more than 4,700 companies across over 60 industries, awarding recognition to 458 organizations. Companies with a Silver Class distinction must achieve a score which is within 5% of the score for the best performing company in their industry. This is Linde's second consecutive acknowledgement by The Sustainability Yearbook since the merger between Linde AG and Praxair, Inc. in 2018.
"We are proud to receive this award from such a prestigious organization," said Anne Roby, Executive Vice President of Linde. "This recognition underscores Linde's strong track record and our firm commitment to sustainability. As a leading industrial gases and engineering company, we have the technology, the resources and the people to contribute to all aspects of managing climate change and reducing emissions. Our technologies and services are making our customers more successful while helping to sustain and protect our planet."
Linde recently announced its climate targets, which include lowering GHG emissions intensity by 35% by 2028. More information on sustainability and Linde's climate targets can be found at www.linde.com/about-linde/sustainable-development
