World premiere at the Eurobike 2019 in Friedrichshafen - Koblenz-based manufacturer sets new standards for safety, comfort, and transport ...

Urban mobility is one of the significant challenges of our time. ca go, is an e-cargo bike (electronically assisted pedaling), and can make an essential contribution to the sustainable mobility of the future. The forward-thinking of the ca go brand stands out from the others in many ways, presenting a next-generation cargo bike design.

The ca go brand stands for modern urban micro-mobility. The idea came from Franc Arnold, who has been working successfully in the bicycle industry for more than 30 years. Back in 2003, he founded the Ergon brand, today a global premium brand for ergonomic bicycle components. Now, together with a team of experienced engineers and designers from the automotive and bicycle industries, he has the built ca go bike. The technical construction and interpretation of this e-cargo bike was developed in cooperation with the renowned manufacturer Idworx under the direction of Gerrit Gaastra.

ca go bike meets the highest standards of design, equipment, and ride, but the special feature of the cargo bike is its transport box, which redefines the conversation on safety. This monocoque safety box was developed with specialists from the automotive industry, with room for two children and also featuring individual ergonomic seats with headrests versus a simple bench that is the standard in other cargo bikes. The seat belts are connected to the frame for optimal restraint safety. The Isofix adapter comes integrated into the bottom, for an alternative for attaching a child car seat.

The boxes come constructed with a high-shoulder line, which prevents children from putting their arms outside the box. ca go's integrated armrests allow children to hold their arms inside the box safely. The boxes are manufactured from a highly-absorbent crash, splinter-free and durable EPP-material. This design feature has fully integrated side impact protection bars that avoid any outer edges of metal or wood. The box has a volume of 200 liters! These advanced safety features integrated into our design provide a whole new level of protection for children or pedestrians in case of a collision.

The cargo load area is also positioned lower than your standard cargo bike, allowing for a lower center of gravity, and a more stable ride while going straight or cornering. Steering and maneuvering are simple because the cable steering guides the cargo bike effortlessly into any direction. The bike also features a unique Bosch Cargo drive train with high starting torque, dual-output Bosch batteries, and has a range of 125 kilometers.

The ergonomics specialist at Ergon ensures the best riding comfort, with the back-friendly SC Core saddle and the ergonomic GP1 grips. ca go makes riding with cargo fun!
