Good finish of the financial year for Langendorf
The financial year 2015-2016 was closed by the Langendorf group with an overall turnover of around 51 million Euro. This means an increase of nearly 6 percent compared to the previous year
Nearly 950 vehicles, an increase of 9 percent, left the vehicle plant in Waltrop from 1st October 2015 up to 30th September 2016.
Despite major projects abroad the export share slightly fell from 45 percent to 41 percent. This is, amongst others, caused by the falling demand from Eastern Europe and Turkey. “Despite the weak demand in these countries, the overall quantity could be nevertheless increased thanks to the increase in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Swiss) as well as in France” says Dr. Klaus P. Strautmann, CEO of Langendorf GmbH.
The increase in production was realized with an unchanged workforce size. A total of 271 people in the annual average were employed at Langendorf in the closed financial year.
„The positive production increase is based on three facts“, explains Dr. Strautmann: “ A flexible working model makes it possible for us to adjust our team exactly to the production planning.
Also a strong focus was put on internal logistics last year. A lot of processes have been changed to enable quick turnaround times.
Thirdly, we have noted that customers increasingly put emphasis on vehicles having a long service life at low life cycle costs. For this our customers are also prepared to buy the higher added value of their vehicle at a valuable price” adds Dr. Strautmann.
For the current financial year the company plans further measures especially in the field of material management. The already optimized process workflows shall be even further improved and rationalized, the communication processes even more straightened. With this the processing times from placing the order up to the delivery can be further reduced. Despite a high individuality factor distinguishing the vehicles from Langendorf, every order shall be delivered even faster.
