13th European Identity & Cloud Conference
Participants of the 2019 EIC receive a comprehensive overview of future trends in Internet Security as well as practical information about current projects. The program is divided into five parallel tracks that feature more than 200 international speakers and experts, many best practice presentations and about 120 hours of relevant content.
“The speakers at EIC are often ahead of their time”, Joerg Resch, Co-Founder & Management Board Member at KuppingerCole Analysts AG, says. “In 2012, Doc Searls gave a preview on GDPR, before politicians started working on it, and in his 2014 opening keynote, Martin Kuppinger was already talking about the key trends we talk about today.”
“While the number of sponsors of the EIC 2019 has increased, we particularly appreciate the significant rise in the number of participants”, Bettina Buthmann, Head of Events at KuppingerCole Analysts AG, adds. “In addition to technology providers, thought leaders and market experts, end users are especially interested in the latest and most relevant Information Security and Digital Identity topics. The international character of the event is underlined by visitors from more than 40 countries. We are looking forward to an informative and visionary conference.”
What’s new at EIC 2019?
Yesterday, one day before the official start of EIC 2019, KuppingerCole hosted the FIDO Authentication Workshop as well as the AI Innovation Night. During the latter, the speakers presented various approaches to utilize AI techniques for IAM, Cybersecurity, Consumer Experience and Marketing Automation in slam-style talks.
For the first time, the EIC exhibition area extends over two floors, featuring the exhibition space of the silver and bronze sponsors, the EIC Café as well as the KuppingerCole Lounge on the gallery level. Due to the high demand, the popular Bavarian Happy Hour at the HIRSCHALM, an alpine chalet, is now parallel to the Women in Identity Happy Hour taking place at the same time at the new EIC Café.
EIC is also the launching event of the Young Talents Program, in which KuppingerCole offers all students to attend the company’s events such as the EIC free of charge. With the founding of the Young Talents Program, KuppingerCole wants to promote open exchange in a lively community, enabling access for students to informative talks to learn about trends, best practices and current discussions on digital transformation and its consequences.
The conference will run until Friday, May 17th. There is still time to register for the remaining days online or on-site in Munich. Press, journalists and bloggers can register directly and for free.
EIC 2019 takes place at Infinity BallhausForum, Andreas-Danzer-Weg 1 in 85716 Munich, Unterschleissheim.
