Die metallische Optik und Haptik für Kunststoffbauteile liegt nach wie vor im absoluten Trend, wenn es darum geht, Hochwertigkeit und Langlebigkeit umzusetzen. Insbesondere in der Automobilindustrie, sowie Sanitär- und Haushaltsgeräteindustrie werden vielfach hochglanz- oder mattverchromte Elemente eingesetzt. Gleiches gilt für den Bereich der Gebrauchs- und Unterhaltungselektronik.

Am 17. Mai 2018 wird im Kunststoff-Institut Lüdenscheid wieder die Fachtagung zum Themenkomplex Kunststoffgalvanisieren stattfinden.

Innerhalb der Veranstaltung werden nach einem Update zum aktuellen Stand der europäischen Chemikalienpolitik, gegenwärtige Herausforderungen der Chemikalienlieferanten in Bezug auf Chrom(VI) freie Vorbehandlung, Verchromung in Chrom(III) Elektrolyten, sowie Alternativen zu Nickel in der Galvanotechnik aufgezeigt.
