2008: A year of remarkable achievements and innovations for KSW Microtec
³We have experienced an incredible year at KSW, with the successful launch of a range of pioneering RFID products that received extremely positive feedback from partners, customers and visitors at all the international events and exhibitions we¹ve attended so far,² commented Thomas Hitzer, CEO of KSW Microtec. ³Our achievements in customer satisfaction and product quality were recognized by Texas Instruments, who honored us with their Supplier Excellence Award. KSW is the only RFID component manufacturer to receive this distinction. The accomplishments won¹t stop here: we want to continue to set new and higher standards in the RFID industry - in terms of innovation, quality and customer service - in the years to come.²
Among the major shows attended by KSW Microtec feature RFID World at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, where the company displayed its enhanced and optimized RFID-based VarioSens® label with its integrated temperature sensor for temperature monitoring in the supply chain.
KSW also doubled its exhibition presence at Cartes in Paris, which saw the launch of the dual-frequency eGO inlay. This contactless transponder combines ISO 15693 or ISO 14443 HF with ISO 18000-6C UHF functionality and enables high UHF performance even with the addition of a contact smart card module to the card. eGO allows the access control systems to be both simplified and upgraded to operate at higher speeds and greater distances across a range of applications, from traffic control in gated areas to secure access to buildings and contactless payment processes.
Thinlam®, the extra thin contactless prelaminate, was introduced at Cartes and more recently at ID WORLD in Milan. With a thickness down to 280µm, Thinlam® sets new manufacturing standards and is the ideal solution for any contactless personal identification application where security, performance and design are important.
In order to provide the highest quality RFID products that best suit the specific environment in which they are used, KSW has been committed to maintaining a close relationship with its partners. The company will continue to focus on customer satisfaction and customization to match the highest standards and requests of its partners and the market. Furthermore, the staff at KSW is driven to further optimize the company's portfolio and technologies, with more new and innovative RFID-based products already scheduled for release in the first part of the new year.
