Hans de Groot hands over to Rotagraphic in Alkmaar

New KBA agency for newspaper presses in the Netherlands

Würzburg, (PresseBox) - The Netherlands have always been a major market for KBA's sheetfed and web presses, which are in operation at large numbers of the country's medium and large-size printshops. New technologies and processes - among them the waterless KBA Cortina newspaper press - have made their debut at innovative Dutch printers. For some years now the sheetfed and commercial web sectors have been served by KBA agency Wifac in Mijdrecht.

Following the retirement of Hans de Groot, KBA's longstanding and highly successful newspaper press agent, the dealership has passed with immediate effect to Alkmaar-based Rotagraphic.

Founded by Wim de Vries in 1984 as an agency for web press peripherals (reelstands, dryers, cross stackers, dampening preparation systems etc) Rotagraphic has evolved into a partner of choice for major manufacturers in both web and sheetfed sectors. Now headed by Wim's son Jacco de Vries, the five-employee company has built up a reputation for excellence. Says Jacco de Vries: "Our slogan is 'Graphic technology for tomorrow'. In challenging times like the present, farsighted investment is key to maintaining the competitiveness of print media enterprise in preparation for an upturn. KBA, with its focus on innovation and quality, is our ideal counterpart. This combination of peripherals and KBA's entire newspaper press range enables us to offer customised press packages to meet individual requirements."
