Kodak Points to Golden Future at Eastern Europe Workshop
Channel partner updates aimed at helping strengthen market position
That was among the highlights of the detailed update on the KODAK NEXPRESS Digital Color Production Press and the possibilities presented by Dimensional and Gold ink. There were plenty of samples on show for the partners to get a closer look at.
They also heard how the KODAK PROSPER S-Series Imprinting Systems can be used to transform traditional sheet and web fed print with the application of variable data as well as the market opportunities and productivity gains achievable with the KODAK PROSPER 1000 Press.
The highly successful in-depth workshop, held in Vienna, was well received by the channel partners and kicked off with a Kodak sponsored dinner on September 19 followed by a workshop in Vienna Ananas Hotel the following day.
Channel partners who were welcomed to the event by Jacek Skibicki, Kodak Sales Director at Central Eastern Europe Middle East Africa, included, Amos, GED, Primatehnic, Grafiknet, Design Print, Jura, DZS Grafik and Grafitec.
As well as a comprehensive corporate update, they learned about interesting applications, installations and success stories throughout the day.
Mr. Skibicki began with a status update on Kodak and its product portfolio. He was followed by Joachim Kranz, Kodak's Sales Manager for Digital Print Solutions for Eastern European Countries, who gave an overview of the KODAK NEXPRESS Digital Production Color Press portfolio.
Rainer Kuessel, Sales Support Engineer for the DACH Region at Kodak, presented the latest on the KODAK PROSPER S-Series Imprinting Systems including product updates. He also ran through the stages of implementing hybrid printing from concept to execution and highlighted successful customer stories. The latter included Axel Springer which has mounted 33 KODAK PROSPER S30 Imprinting Systems on manroland COLORMAN offset presses for personalized advertising and raffles. Later, with colleagues Manuel Cortizo and Joachim Kranz, Mr. Kuessel detailed total cost of ownership and partners participated in a discussion on opportunities for the technology.
Mr. Cortizo then went onto talk about the KODAK PROSPER 1000 Press providing a product update and detailing market opportunities The day also saw KODAK Solutions present a 'Go to Market' strategy and entry conditions for IPS solutions, with TCO education, approach to market and opportunities covered.
