KEMET Corporation (KEMET) (NYSE: KEM), ein weltweit führender Anbieter elektronischer Bauelemente, stellt eine neue Serie von SMD-Metallverbund-Leistungsinduktivitäten vor. Die Bauteile der neuen METCOM-Serie eignen sich für die Entwicklung effizienterer DC/DC-Schaltnetzteile sowie für andere stromversorgungsbezogene Anwendungen wie EMI-Filterung.

Der Metallverbundkern bietet Hochstrom-Sättigungseigenschaften, die es den Induktivitäten ermöglichen, ihre Funktion bei den hohen Rippelströmen aufrechtzuerhalten, wie sie in modernen Stromversorgungsanwendungen auftreten. Eine hohe Permeabilität ermöglicht einen niedrigen Gleichstromwiderstand (DCR), was zu einer deutlich verringerten Eigenerwärmung während des Hochstrombetriebs führt. Dabei erhöht sich der Wirkungsgrad des Systems und Überlegungen rund um die thermische Auslegung lassen sich vermeiden.
