Software-Update für Legacy-Modul

Kathrein arbeitet derzeit für die seit 2009 und bis heute verfügbaren bzw. ausgelieferten HDTV-Receiver der Modellreihe UFS 9xx an einem Software-Update für das sogenannte Legacy-Modul zum Empfang von 'HD+'-Programmen.

Nach Angaben von Kathrein-Entwicklungsleiter Ralf Exler soll die Software für die genannte Receiver-Modellreihe mit Verfügbarkeit der Legacy-Module bereitgestellt werden: "Laut HD+ voraussichtlich im Mai oder Juni 2010".

Die Legacy-Module werden über einen von HD+ eingerichteten Internet-Shop vertrieben. Hier wird auch die Gerätezuordnung ersichtlich sein, für die die entsprechende Software zur Verfügung steht. Laut HD+ soll das Portal Ende Februar 2010 eingerichtet sein.
