Jive Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:JIVE), rolled out today the latest version of Producteev by Jive, the leading social task management solution that allows individuals, teams, and now entire organizations to easily track and manage tasks for free - regardless of how many people within a team or organization use the application and an approach that no other task management app on the market can match today. The new version of the product builds on the innovative foundation built by Producteev, which was acquired by Jive late last year, and provides companies with a more productive yet inexpensive way to get the fundamental components of work -- tasks -- organized and completed easily.

The application is available now for free at

"As social goes mainstream, many people are looking for the best entry points to start improving the way they work with their teams," said Ilan Abehassera, founder of Producteev and senior director of product management at Jive Software. "By offering a completely revamped and free version of Producteev by Jive, we can help people improve their productivity and collaboration across their organizations while also further accelerating overall use of our app at every level of a company."

"At the root of work are the tasks and the "to do" lists that people need to manage on a daily basis. By extending Producteev by Jive to all organizations in a free, intuitive and sophisticated tool, we can help an ever-larger number of people be more productive and collaborative," said Oudi Antebi, senior vice president of product management at Jive. "Producteev perfectly complements Jive's overarching focus of transforming the way work gets done."

Purpose-built social task management

Producteev by Jive has been redesigned to offer a more conceptual, more organized approach to social task management. People can work and assign tasks across any level within a business, including a new "network" layer that allows people to select an individual or a group to receive task notifications. The new category comes as Producteev becomes a common staple within companies. For example, an HR team can now assign tasks to an entire organization to ensure that updated benefit statements have been reviewed.

In addition, Producteev by Jive offers a variety of new functionality and features based on feedback from customers. People can now:

- Assign tasks to multiple teammates (vs. just individuals)
- Easily view task streams by project, category, or specific people
- Follow specific tasks that have been assigned
- Integrate documents from file attachments solutions like Dropbox
- Prioritize what's most important through one-click filtering
- Categorize tasks across the network via tagging to enhance search results

Built for wherever people need to work

Producteev by Jive also offers people the flexibility to work on and seamlessly switch between a variety of platforms. The latest version offers the most comprehensive device offerings within the industry, including a Web and Mac-based version and updated apps on the iOS App Store and Android markets. The newest versions of the Producteev apps are built on our new RESTful API, which slashes development times for creating powerful new applications on top of the Producteev app.

"Producteev by Jive focuses on a critical area of collaboration for us - driving project success," said Nick Howe, Vice President of Learning and Collaboration at Hitachi Data Systems. "We see it as an important addition to Jive's social business platform that's generated great results for us in the past 3 years."

The stand-alone free social task management app helps companies take busyness out of business and move from talk to action. In the coming months, Producteev will be seamlessly integrated into Jive's core social business platform via a new module. Pricing for that module will be announced in the coming months.
