United Airlines enters partnership with Jettainer for ULD management
According to the agreement, Jettainer will handle the global ULD management activities for United Airlines, providing the carrier with a full range of services that includes the provision of day-to-day management services such as worldwide tracking & tracing, active inventory management, ULD repairs and performance monitoring.
For this purpose Jettainer will establish a new office at the carrier s operations center in Elk Grove, Ill. This will be Jettainer s second US location. In addition, Jettainer will roll out its state-of-the-art technology suite to support the effective daily management of ULDs throughout United s large international network and make use of the IT system s advanced management reporting features.
With the addition of United Airlines, Jettainer s managed ULD portfolio increases to 65,000 units in use by 12 customer airlines at more than 500 locations worldwide.
