XcelleNet Announces Product Reselling Agreement with JDA Software for
Retail Demand Chain Leader Adds XcelleNet to its Integrated In-Store System Offering
“XcelleNet provides leading-edge software that helps retailers to better automate business processes and move information to decision makers,” commented Scott Hines, JDA’s chief technology officer. “With our vast experience implementing XcelleNet polling technology at our clients’ sites over the years, I am confident that this new chapter in our alliance will be a success. We can now offer our clients one-stop access to a complete, integrated store solution.”
Through this relationship, JDA provides customers with critical management solutions for the growing number of fixed and mobile devices retailers depend on. As kiosks, employee workstations and wireless handheld devices join existing point-of-sale systems in retail IT environments, updating software and keeping track of these assets is a task XcelleNet is optimized to perform.
“Rogers Video depends on XcelleNet and JDA to handle the distribution of critical data from each store to corporate headquarters each night,” said Bill Didur, director of IT for Rogers Video. “We first installed XcelleNet and JDA’s Win/DSS® software six years ago when we had just 100 stores. The joint solution has not only scaled with our infrastructure as we grew to 275 stores across Canada, but it has also proven to be very dependable and easy to use.”
The largest Canadian-owned specialty video retailer in Canada, and the fifth largest video chain in North America, Rogers Video uses XcelleNet and JDA’s Win/DSS to collect and distribute store specific data such as sales numbers, inventory, customer information, shipping invoices and other relevant management information from across its stores.
Today’s retail IT deployments are complex systems that require all types of devices, from point-of-sale machines and line-busting handhelds found in stores, to PDAs used by retail executives. Incorporating greater data movement and device management capabilities into JDA’s store solutions and service offerings assures JDA clients a reliable and secure means of controlling these important assets and the business processes that run on them.
“Over the years, JDA Software and XcelleNet each have provided critical components of IT solutions to leading retailers like Rogers Video,” said Russ Anderton, vice president of business development, XcelleNet. “The reseller relationship announced today will create new opportunities to help current customers of both organizations, as well as future prospects, meet the growing demands of ever-changing retail IT environments.”
