Leading Australian Retailer Brazin Live with JDA Portfolio Advanced Store Replenishment
JDA Helps Another Retailer Optimize Inventory, Service Levels while Improving Operational Efficiency
The retailer also licensed Portfolio Merchandise Management System-i (MMS®) in March 2003 as part of a strategic reengineering plan to increase managerial and operational efficiency while improving profits throughout its business that also includes the distinctive BNT chain specializing in women's lingerie, sleepwear and swimwear; Aztec Rose, designer and manufacturer of women’s surf wear and swimwear; Ghetto, lifestyle concept stores specializing in footwear and Ezydvd, Australia’s largest specialist DVD retailer.
According to Mr. Brett Blundy, CEO and founder of Brazin Group, JDA Portfolio products are integral to the operational changes that the retailer is putting in place to support growth while realizing improved stock management and reduced store labor and supply chain costs.
“Our goal is to implement a stable and scalable technology infrastructure along with best practice disciplines that allow us to stay focused on operational efficiency while ensuring top performance during our peak trading periods,” comments Blundy. “With Store Replenishment now generating demand forecasts, we can decrease our inventory investment by eliminating overstocks while at the same time optimizing our service levels resulting in reduced lost sales. Our customers will be able to find the latest DVDs and CDs that they want every time they visit our stores. They should also notice an increase in service since our store managers are no longer responsible for manual ordering.”
JDA/Brazin Count on Long Term Partnership
Brazin selected JDA based on its reputation as a proven leader within the industry and its broad, integrated product offering that the retailer may rely on to address future systems requirements within the Brazin Group. The retailer is now focused on the rollout of MMS to support its Entertainment Division. JDA’s world leading inventory management solution is expected to be operational in the first half of 2004.
“With retailers always aiming to improve profits and earnings, our advanced replenishment and allocation solutions can deliver a quick return on investment,” comments Lyn Schmidt, JDA’s managing director of operations for Asia Pacific. “We are thrilled to see another client achieve a rapid deployment with Store Replenishment and gain greater control over their stock service levels whilst reducing purchasing costs to better serve customers with fully stocked shelves. We now look forward to ensuring the successful implementation of MMS so Brazin can take advantage of the best practices in merchandise and transaction management.”
