JDA Software Announces Third Quarter 2002 Client Activity
Diversity of JDA Portfolio Applications Continues Repeat Business and Attracts New Clients

Scottsdale, Ariz. - October 21, 2002 - JDA® Software Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:JDAS) announced a partial listing of the companies that signed JDA Portfolio® contracts in third quarter 2002. JDA continued its steady trend of generating repeat business by signing licenses with existing clients such as $8.30 billion Castorama-Dubois Investissements, TruServ Corporation, Inc., and $1.3 billion Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. In addition to increasing its presence in the consumer product goods market by signing new licenses with Elizabeth Arden, Nestlè Purina Petcare Company and General Mills, JDA furthered its dominance in the collaborative solutions market by finalizing deals with manufacturers such as $1.3 billion Revlon Consumer Products and their retail trading pairs.

“Decision making in the market has slowed down. This process will only serve to accelerate the separation of the long term value companies from the rest,” stated JDA president Hamish Brewer. “JDA has undisputed leadership as the lowest total cost of ownership solution provider, we have long term relationships with over one third of the world’s retailers above $100 million and we have both the vision and resources to relentlessly improve this leadership position. We will remain focused on our customers and our core value proposition.”
