Brooks Brothers Goes Live with JDA Software
JDA Portfolio Provides “One Tool, One Way, One Solution“ for Another Retail Brand Alliance Division
Scottsdale, Ariz. - September 12, 2002 - JDA® Software Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: JDAS) announced that privately held Retail Brand Alliance Inc., a premier multi-division fashion company, replaced the Retek Merchandising Solution with JDA Portfolio® merchandise management software to manage the operations of its Brooks Brothers fine classic clothing division. In addition to JDA’s Merchandise Management System-I (MMS®), Retail Brand Alliance uses Performance Analysis by IDEAS™ and Advanced Store Replenishment by E3® for its rapidly expanding business that also includes Casual Corner, Petite Sophisticate, August Max, Carolee Designs and Adrienne Vittadini brands.
Commenting on its successful implementation at Brooks Brothers, Stefano Gaggion, vice president of MIS at Retail Brand Alliance, stated, “Implementing MMS to support Brooks Brothers was the next logical step in achieving our vision for One Tool, One Way, One Solution throughout our enterprise. The advanced capabilities of JDA’s integrated solution provides us with soft-lines functionality and the scalability to rapidly assimilate new divisions, thousands of stores and SKUs along with volumes of customer information, all without redundancy.”
“Retail Brand Alliance’s achievements are a reflection of exceptional executive leadership and commitment to achieving strategic goals,” stated David Tidmarsh, JDA’s senior vice president of client services. “Their trust and confidence in JDA over the years has helped make our JDA Portfolio applications number one in the industry for retailers requiring a proven and comprehensive solution at the lowest cost of ownership.”
Retail Brand Alliance Turns IDEAS into Results
In addition to demonstrating leadership in creating an effective centralized IT infrastructure, Retail Brand Alliance excels in using technology to drive business benefits across its enterprise. For example, over 150 users rely on the analysis capabilities of the IDEAS data warehouse to deliver quality service to the customers at each of its specialty chains.
“If we dropped IDEAS tomorrow, we couldn’t analyze the business,” stated Gaggion.
Added Denise Albright, vice president of planning and allocation, “IDEAS has delivered a phenomenal level of efficiency and reliability to the organization. Our users love the availability of information and can analyze every aspect of our business from e-commerce initiatives to our number one stores, down to each class or department.”
Gaggion and his team took a leadership role during their implementation to provide feedback to JDA on IDEAS’ functionality and technical requirements needed for a large-scale deployment.
“Future JDA customers will benefit from the contributions of Stefano and his team,” stated JDA’s Peter Charness, senior vice president of global marketing and chief product officer. “Our partnership with Retail Brand Alliance is representative of our unwavering commitment to cooperatively develop products with our clients. As evidenced by the phenomenal number of clients who attend our annual FOCUS conference, participate in our Special Interest Groups and provide feedback to our Design Council, we value our clients’ role in driving functionality for our comprehensive suite of proven Portfolio applications.”
