The JadeWeserPort in operation: At the start for Europe's economy

Wilhelmshaven, (PresseBox) - The JadeWeserPort presents at the INTERMODAL EUROPE 2012 in Amsterdam from November 27th - 29th 2012 as important tri-modal port and logistics location within the North Range seaports. Its essential locational advantages are en vogue: Plots, transport connections and infrastructure.

INTERMODAL EUROPE 2012: Roundabout 200 exhibitors of the intermodal industry are presenting at this important international trade fair to trade experts. This yearly event with distinguished conference programmes and exhibition is expecting more than 3500 key players of leading shipping companies, carriers and freight forwarders.

It is the third time for the JadeWeserPort Logistics Zone to exhibit, mind you with the difference that it is the premiere to present the port and logistics location 'in operation'.

"The fast inclusion of the JadeWeserPort onto the routes of important shipping lines such as Maersk's Asia-Europe-Route AE1 and the Seago feeder line "Russia Express Service" for the Baltic verifies the advantages and the development prospects of our location", Dr. Jan Miller, Managing Director of JadeWeserPort Logistics Zone emphasises. "What's even more interesting in relation to this are our current dialogues with some carriers, who are planning the diversion of present rail transportation to new routes with block trains in favour of JadeWeserPort," Miller continues. Hence apparent incentives for more settlements are provided, since the 160ha high area potentials offer all advantages of a location dedicated to logistics with tri-modal infrastructure: Directly adjacent deepwater port, that does not only focus on the business with big vessels, but which is also perfectly suitable for short sea and feeder operations, especially to Scandinavia and the Baltic. Further, these are the efficient and diverse Hinterland connections with the highway connection A29 and direct access to the German railway network - double-tracked from December 10th 2012.

In cooperation with its location partners Eurogate and Unifeeder, the JadeWeserPort Logistics Zone presents their case study "JadeWeserPort - Road, Rail and Short Sea Transport" at the INTERMODAL on November 27th from 10:30h - 11:30h in Theatre 2. Mr. Rüdiger Beckmann, Sales Director of JadeWeserPort Logistics Zone, Mr. Timm Ulrich Niebergall, Country Manager of Unifeeder Germany and Mr. Hans Schulze, General Manager Sales of EUROGATE will deliver a key update on the progress of the new JadeWeserPort.

During the fair, Mr. Rüdiger Beckmann offers interview appointments for accredited press, which can be scheduled in advance till November 23rd 2013.
