IX Reach Named as the Milan Internet Exchange's (MIX) Number One Reseller

IX Reach, global leading provider of wholesale carrier services, connectivity solutions and specialists in remote peering, is pleased to announce it has achieved 'leading International reseller' status at the main Italian Internet Exchange, MIX, (Milan Internet Exchange) for 2013.

MIX launched its reseller programme in 2012 in order to further spread its name as a global Internet hub. Having already established an understanding for the need international networks have for simple connectivity and remote peering access from a single location, IX Reach were quick to support MIX by becoming the most active reseller of their peering services outside Italy.

Since 2000, MIX has steadily grown from being one of the first European IXPs, to the largest in Italy, with over 140 members and peak traffic of more than 150Gbps. IX Reach has helped this growth by providing direct connections, with capacities ranging from 100Mbps to multiple 10Gbps, to MIX, enabling wider coverage for customers when entering the European market, providing them with direct, robust and secure connectivity and colocation into the Italian IXP.

Ruth Plater, Head of Marketing at IX Reach commented, "It's fantastic that we're now officially the number one reseller at MIX. 2013 was a great year for IX Reach, having been named as the number one reseller across most European IXPs and this will only help strengthen our reputation as industry experts in peering and network infrastructure. We look forward to continuing our relationship with MIX and seeing where it leads in 2014."

Owing to its excellent reputation as remote peering specialists, IX Reach is the clear choice for connectivity into the popular Italian peering platform - its broad and far-reaching global network footprint includes major cities across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia, with key cities having extensive metro connectivity.
