Die von der Informationsgemeinschaft zur Feststellung der Verbreitung von Werbeträgern e.V. (IVW) ermittelte Nutzung von Online-Werbeträgern erzielte im vergangenen Monat ein neues Rekordhoch. So wurden im Oktober 2008 für 811 der der Prüfgemeinschaft angeschlossenen Internetangebote insgesamt 41,24 Mrd. PageImpressions (einzelne Seitenaufrufe) und 3,21 Mrd. Visits (Besuche, d.h. einzelne zusammenhängende Nutzungsvorgänge) festgestellt. Gegenüber dem Vormonat hat sich die Gesamtnutzung damit um rund 10 Prozent erhöht (September 2008: 791 Angebote mit 37,43 Mrd. PageImpressions und 2,93 Mrd. Visits).

Dabei geht der aktuelle Anstieg in der Gesamtzahl einzelner Seitenaufrufe von insgesamt 3,81 Mrd.
