IVU AG publishes Annual Report 2010
Revenue up 5% to EUR 39.1 million / EBIT increased by 29%
An important factor driving growth is the foreign business, which now provides 45% of IVU's total revenues. The company's products have established themselves globally, and with new customers in South America and the Asia-Pacific region, IVU has accessed further profitable markets. The successful internationalisation strategy is expected to provide further impulses for growth in the coming years. However, international deals are associated with new challenges. For example, the order from Santiago de Chile has been considerably delayed by two changes of transport minister within the past 10 months. It is unclear how or when this project will commence, and until the situation is clarified the order has been withdrawn from the forecast. Successes in other growth regions have ensured that the goals for 2010 were nevertheless reached and that the positive development will continue in 2011.
The personnel recruitment strategy of IVU is closely linked to the business strategy. The team has been further strengthened in order to carry out the numerous national and international projects. Personnel capacity increased to 285 (+4.4% in comparison with 2009), and personnel expenditure increased by 3% to EUR 18.8 million.
IVU has expanded and become more international. Since autumn 2010 it has projected this through its new corporate image, which highlights the core values of the brand. "Cities are dynamic systems which need intelligent IT solutions," explains Martin Müller-Elschner, CEO of IVU AG. "All over the world, major cities are investing in the modernization and expansion of their public transport networks. We support them with our systems. The IVU brand stands internationally for reliable and secure system solutions, skilled and dedicated personnel, and an open and helpful corporate culture."
