Open-Source-Anwendung S/MIME-SMTP-Proxy nun in Version 1.0

Bisher war es oft mühsam, organisationsweit eine einheitliche Mailsignatur nach dem S/MIME-Standard einzurichten. Mit dem Tool S/MIME-SMTP-Proxy, das Joachim Breitner vom unabhängigen Beratungsunternehmen ITOMIG GmbH für die Stadt Böblingen entwickelt hat, wird es nun deutlich einfacher.

"Unsere Entwicklung ist ein schlanker Dienst für Linux- und andere unixoide Server, der im ausgehenden Mailverkehr zwischengeschaltet wird", erläutert Breitner. "So kann man sich die Konfiguration Hunderter Arbeitsplatzrechner und eine aufwändige Schulung der Mitarbeiter sparen."

S/MIME-SMTP-Proxy steht unter der EUPL und baut auf dem bewährten SMTP-Proxy ProxSMTP auf.
