ISRA VISION AG: A Change in the Supervisory Board

Darmstadt, (PresseBox) - ISRA VISION AG (ISIN: DE 0005488100), one of the leading suppliers for industrial image processing (Machine Vision), is announcing a change in its Supervisory Board. The long-time Managing Director of Kuka Roboter GmbH, Stefan Müller, is to succeed Gordon Riske, who has been a member of the Supervisory Board of ISRA since March 2000. Due to time limitations Gordon Riske is not able to fulfill his obligations of the ISRA Supervisory Board in the desired comprehensiveness and therefore he resigns from office.

Stefan Müller, aged 63, is Senior Consultant to the Board of Management of Kuka Roboter GmbH and President of the International Federation of Robotics (IFR), as well as being Chairman of EUnited Robotics and a member of the Main Board of the German Engineering Federation (VDMA).

To honor his life’s work, Stefan Müller was awarded the world-renowned Joseph F. Engelberger Robotics Award for Leadership in 2003. He is only the second German ever to have received this coveted award.

In his work as a member of the Supervisory Board of ISRA VISION AG, Stefan Müller will assist the company in its strategic orientation in the Robot Vision segment.

(2005/2006: € 53,5 Mio.). In den letzten zehn Jahren hat das Unternehmen seine Gesamtleistung um durchschnittlich rund 31% pro Jahr gesteigert und sein Ergebnis vor Steuern sogar um rund 36% pro Jahr verbessert. ISRA ist weltweit tätig und beschäftigt an Standorten in Darmstadt, Karlsruhe, Herten, Oerlinghausen, Aachen, Atlanta, Columbus, Lansing, London, Shanghai, Peking und Taoyuan rund 300 Mitarbeiter.

ISRA setzt die Technologie der digitalen Bildverarbeitung bei der optischen Inspektion endloser Bahnwaren (z. B. Glas, Folien, Vlies, Papier) und zur optisch gestützten Robotersteuerung im Rahmen automatisierter industrieller Fertigungs- oder Verpackungsprozesse ein. Nach Expertenschätzungen sind derzeit nur ca. 25% der möglichen Anwendungen erschlossen. Derzeit beträgt das Marktvolumen global ca. € 6,5 Mrd. Die geschätzten jährlichen Marktwachstumsraten liegen weltweit zwischen 7% und 10%.
