The Broadband InfoVision Awards are judged by a panel of influential C-level professionals from some of the world's leading operators, including China Telecom, Korea Telecom, Deutsche Telekom Group and Etisalat.
Gavin Whitechurch, director of the Broadband World Forum, commented: "Each year the standard of entries never fails to impress and this year the judges had a truly global shortlist to work through from all areas of the broadband community."
The Broadband InfoVision Gala Dinner Awards ceremony took place last night on the evening of day one of the 2011 Broadband World Forum. The three day event, being held at the CNIT in Paris, features more than 300 leading industry speakers including Kevin Lo, General Manager at Google, Olivier Baujard, Chief Technology Officer at Deutsche Telekom Group, Malcolm Turnbull, Australia's Shadow Minister for Broadband and Communications and Dan Taylor, Director of Innovation, British Gas Smart Homes.
Last week it was announced that the Broadband World Forum would move to a larger venue in Amsterdam in 2012 to better support the significantly growing delegate and speaker demand.
Gavin added: "Congratulations to all our winners tonight. The range of companies and service areas represented highlights perfectly how technology in the broadband industry is developing and growing so rapidly. I'm already looking forward to next year's event at our new venue at the RAI Amsterdam."
