Inca Digital announces latest intake of apprentices

Cambridge, (PresseBox) - Inca Digital, a leading manufacturer of inkjet printers, is pleased to announce its annual intake of apprentices for 2016, as part of its continuing commitment to developing talent and potential. A total of five positions were available, four of which have been filled for Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering and one for Inca’s internal IT department which is currently open to applications.

The apprentices will start their four-year journey with Inca in August/September 2016, during which they will receive structured work experience in many areas of the business, including Operations, Customer Support and R&D. In addition, they will be given day release to study towards an approved standard qualification as part of an Approved English Apprenticeship.

Here’s information about two apprentices that have successfully completed the four-year course:

Russ Davis, now 27, joined Inca in 2008 as an apprentice in manufacturing. During that time, he gained experience in a variety of manufacturing disciplines and was involved with the build of many Inca products, including the last Onset S70 ever manufactured. Since completing his apprenticeship in 2012, Russ has visited customer sites, assisted American engineers with conversions and installed machines around the world. He is currently working for Inca as a print commissioner. Russ says: “The apprentice scheme is well-organised and provides great opportunities for anyone willing to put in the hard work to progress in this industry.”

Zack Taylor, 24, recently completed his four-year apprenticeship which he started after completing his A-levels. Zack says: “The apprenticeship scheme is well-structured and interesting. I really enjoyed spending time in the different areas of the company and learning about all the Inca products. Inca is very supportive, pushing me to achieve my goals. It is very satisfying to be a part of its growth.” He is now working in Production, developing his skills with the aim of becoming a print commissioner.

John Mills, CEO, Inca Digital, says: “Inca is as proud of its staff as it is of its unique technology, investing heavily in both. The success of Inca depends on engineering excellence and Inca aims to recruit the best in class.”
