Imtech: over 47 million euro technology orders in UK education sector
René van der Bruggen, CEO Imtech: 'Imtech is one of the strongest technological players in the UK education sector. In the UK educational institutions are setting high demands in terms of technology infrastructures, energy savings and security. Because budgets are often tight, integration of all technical services creates total and feasible solutions which make economic and sustainably sense. Imtech is also involved in several Schools for the Future projects.'
New Imtech orders involve, among others, a new student accommodation facility for Nottingham Trent University, a new library facility for the University of East London and a new build and refurbishment project for St Edmonds School in the Birmingham region. At the same time Imtech secured orders for technical solutions and energy savings in five schools of the London Academies Enterprise Trust (LAET). The Academies are sponsored by the Greensward Charitable Trust, which has created a federation of academies to provide thousands of students with the best possible education.
Schools for the Future
Imtech is also acting as the technology partner in a special 'Building Schools for the Future' (BSF) program. According to this program new schools are being built, old schools will be transformed and ICT will become an even more integral part of life for pupils. Furthermore, it means young people will be given the best environment and the right facilities to achieve their full potential.
